Drake Bay 

The Vista al Mar Lodge is situated on the peninsula of Osa, Bahia Drake, only two minutes from the beach.

The elevated location provides a breathtaking view of the ocean and of the surrounding treetops of the rainforest.

The combination of ocean and forest gives the animals and plants a near ideal living space. Often you can see here Klammer, Kapuziner and Brüllaffen. And Nasenbären, Faultiere und Goldhasen can be viewed as well.

Nearby live the rare and shy Pumas, Ocelots and Jaguars.

Costa Rica is well known for its many birds.

Tukane, Aras, Kolibris, Motmots....... the number of colourful tropical birds, which you can watch out of your hammock, is long. From the terrace you can often see groups of Pelicans, as they pass by.
